How to Make New Paper With Old Paper

Ever wanted to make your own paper in a unique way? This article will walk you through an easy method for creating craft paper.

Cut your paper in to shreds or use a shredding machine.

Put one cup of water in a blender or food processor.

Blend the water and shredded paper on high until well blended.

Strain the mixture to remove as much of the water as possible.

Place the strained mixture in a container with a flat base. Select a container based on the shape of paper you want to create.

Compress the mixture in the container making it as flat and smooth as possible.

Wait 48 hours or until the paper is fully dried.

Tips

  • You can use things such as glitter or food coloring to give your paper character.

  • Water
  • Paper to be recycled
  • A blender or food processor
  • Strainer
  • Flat bottomed container
